Tas Bearing & Chain was established in February 1988 to supply various industries with quality industrial and engineering products.
The business, staffed originally by 2 people, saw steady growth and the addition of new and exciting products to a strong base range that required an increase in staffing levels.
In 1993, Tas Bearing & Chain acquired the Tasmanian distributorship for Atlas Copco Air Tools and SMC Pneumatic components, increasing an already vast product range.
In May of 1996, Tas Bearing & Chain divided into 2 separate entities, the Air and Pneumatic equipment now trading under the name Total Air Supplies and the Engineering and Transmission supplies retaining the name of the parent company (Tas Bearing & Chain).
July 2001, Grant Bourke took ownership of Tas Bearing & Chain.
2006 is Tas Bearing & Chain's 18th year of operation. TBC is still providing quality products and valuable services to industry in Northern Tasmania
